Latest World Rankings: Argentina Climb, South Africa Fall

The World Rugby Rankings have been updated following the action in the Autumn Nations Series, Rugby World Cup qualifiers and other internationals.

The weekend's Autumn Nations Series action has seen plenty of movement in the Top 10.

Narrow wins for Ireland and France see them retain the top two spots respectively but New Zealand's impressive win over Wales has seen them replace South Africa in third place.

South Africa switch places with New Zealand dropping to fourth place. England hold onto fifth place despite losing to Argentina at Twickenham for the first time since 2006.

The win for Los Pumas sees them climb two-places into sixth having collected 1.80 ranking points for the victory – only their second at English rugby’s HQ.

Australia drop a place to seventh because of Argentina's climb with Wales dropping to ninth. Scotland's win over Fiji sees them move up a place into eighth.

The top ten is rouned out by Japan, who did not take the pitch this weekend. Despite going down to Scotland, Fiji moved up a place into 11th at the expense of Samoa who dropped three places to 14th.

Italy’s impressive 49-17 win over Samoa saw their rating boosted by 1.42 points, which was enough to send them up to 12th. Georgia's total remained unchanged after their 34-18 win over Uruguay.

A 40-6 win for Tonga over Spain saw the sides swap places with the ‘Ikale Tahi now the highest ranked of the two teams in 15th.

Portugal and USA both claimed wins in the Final Qualification Tournament for Rugby World Cup 2023. However, Portugal's win over Hong Kong has seen them move one ahead of the Americans into 19th.
