Leinster v Union Bordeaux Begles | Match Report

Leinster surprised everyone as they put in a perfect starting passage and scored a try to take the lead un under 10 minutes. From there things changed as UBB went on to score 35 points before half time and take all the wind out of the sails of the Leinster side. 

Leinster did start the second half better but despite Bordeaux getting a couple of yellow cards the Top 14 side pinned Leinster back and invited them to attack and make things happen for themselves from deep inside their half. Any penalty inside the the Leinster half was mostly kicked at goal to keep the pressure on and take things further away.

MAxime Lucu was awarded the MOTM  after another incredible performance that was highlighted by his huge clearing kicks often from deep in his half to well over the half way line.
