Lions sign former Springbok Willem Alberts

Lions Rugby have today confirmed that Willem Alberts will return to his roots & wear their jersey once more.


The 35-year-old made his debut for the Golden Lions in 2007. In November 2010 he ran out for South Africa off the bench and scored a try against Wales. 

The loose forward also earned 43 Test caps for the Springboks between 2010 and 2016.

He also signed for Stade Francais in 2015, and was handed a new one-year contract in April 2018.
