Fans attending the Blues vs Waratahs match next weekend in the second round of the Trans-Tasman competition will be in for a treat as two big curtain-raisers are scheduled.
The All Blacks Sevens and Black Ferns Sevens will take on their Australian counterparts before kick-off, providing those in attendance with some brilliant entertainment before the main feature gets underway.
“We are really excited at what is going to be an amazing few hours of outstanding rugby action for our fans,” said Blues Chief Executive, Andrew Hore.
“There a real vibe around the return of the Trans-Tasman rugby rivalry, and everyone has been commenting on the exciting brand of rugby that has been on show in Australia’s Super Rugby competition.
“We are only around 12 weeks out from the Sevens competition at the Tokyo Olympics, and we are thrilled to be able to host two of the leading Sevens nations, who will be in contention for medals, having their last public matches in New Zealand before their Tokyo campaign.”
