NIGEL AH WONG RED CARD OFFENCE

Nature of Offence: Law 9.13: A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously. Dangerous tackling includes, but is not limited to, tackling or attempting to tackle an opponent above the line of the shoulders even if the tackle starts below the line of the shoulders.

Nigel Ah Wong of the Moana Pasifika has been issued a Red Card for alleged foul play during a Super Rugby Pacific match at the weekend.

Ah Wong is alleged to have contravened Law 9.13: A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously, during the match between Moana Pasifika and Fijian Drua at AAMI Park in Melbourne on 2 March 2024.

The Case is to be considered in the first instance by the SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee which will take place on Monday 4 March 2024, 6pm(AEDT), 8pm(NZDT) via video-conference.

Nature of Offence: Law 9.13: A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously. Dangerous tackling includes, but is not limited to, tackling or attempting to tackle an opponent above the line of the shoulders even if the tackle starts below the line of the shoulders.

Jared Proffit of the Chiefs has been issued a Red Card for alleged foul play during a Super Rugby Pacific match at the weekend.

Proffit is alleged to have contravened Law 9.13: A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously, during the match between the Chiefs and Brumbies at AAMI Park in Melbourne on 3 March 2024.

The Case is to be considered in the first instance by the SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee which will take place on Monday 4 March 2024, 6pm(AEDT), 8pm(NZDT) via video-conference.

Nature of Offence: Law 9.13: A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously. Dangerous tackling includes, but is not limited to, tackling or attempting to tackle an opponent above the line of the shoulders even if the tackle starts below the line of the shoulders.
Elapsed time in match when incident occurred: 56:01

Jordie Barrett of the Hurricanes has been issued a Red Card for alleged foul play during a Super Rugby Pacific match at the weekend.

Barrett is alleged to have contravened Law 9.13: A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously, during the match between the Hurricanes and Reds at AAMI Park in Melbourne on 3 March 2024.

The Case is to be considered in the first instance by the SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee which will take place on Tuesday 5 March 2024, 6pm(AEDT), 8pm(NZDT) via video-conference.


All SANZAAR disciplinary matters are in the first instance referred to the Foul Play Review Committee to provide the option of expediting the judicial process.

For a matter to be dispensed with at this hearing, the person appearing must plead guilty and accept the penalty offered by the Foul Play Review Committee.
