The younger brother of Pierre Boudehent, Paul is equally talented. Paul is a powerful front-rower with a strong ball carrying and tackling game.

Nicknamed 'Poney' (Pony) presumably after his brother who is nicknamed Cheval (horse).

At the age of 18, Boudehent was named in the France squad for the 2019 u20 Six Nations.

He signed a deal with La Rochelle during the 2019/2020 season and played in 2 Top 14 matches and 2 in the Champions Cup.

As of September 2020, Poney has made 7 appearances for the Yellow and Black and has scored 5 points.

Paul has played 16 matches for La Rochelle in the Top 14 and 3 in the European Rugby Champions Cup for the 2021/22 season scoring 5 points and to date 19 Top 14 matches and 7 European Rugby Champions Cup matches for the 2022/23 season, scoring 15 points.

Ahead of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, Boudehent has been named to play for France.
