Moloney started playing my rugby when he was eight years old with Portlaoise RFC. Moloney represented Irish Schools in 2012 and 2013 and went on to be selected for the Irish U-20's in 2014 and 2015.
He was then promoted to the senior team from Connacht under 20's.
At the end of the 2016/17 season, Moloney was released from his contract.
