Cancelliere started his senior rugby career with Hindú, an Argentine sports club based in the Don Torcuato district of Greater Buenos Aires.
He made 56 appearances for Hindú before signing a Super Rugby deal with the Jaguares in 2018.
Cancelliere went into the 2018 Rugby Championship with 1 test cap and made 5 further appearances in the competition.
As of June 2020, Cancelliere has made 24 Super Rugby appearances for the Jaguares.
