Match Report: Leinster v Munster

Leinster made it 14 wins from 14 in the Pro14 with a hard fought 27-25 victory over arch rivals Munster. Munster opened the scoring with a try 13 minutes in, but Leinster hit back with one of their own midway through the first half to level things up at 7-7.

The sides then traded penalties before a second for Munster saw them up 13-10. Leinster would show their championship caliber, with a try on the stroke of halftime giving them a 17-13 advantage at the break. A Leinster try 10 minutes into the second half saw them take control of the match at 24-13.

With a little under 20 minutes remaining, Leinster were reduced to 14 players after picking up a yellow card and Munster capitalised almost immediately on their numerical advantage with a try to get right back into the match at 24-20. A Leinster penalty with 10 minutes remaining made it a seven point ball game, but shortly after Munster crossed for their third try, but the conversion to level things up drifted wide. Munster would have to settle for a losing bonus point, while Leinsters Pro14 dominance continues.
