Six players join Wasps’ senior academy for 2018/19

Academy manager Jonathan Pendlebury has announced that six players will join Wasps’ senior academy for the 2018/19 season.

 

Cameron Anderson 
A product of Henley AASE College, coached there by Jack Wiggins, the centre has already appeared twice in the Anglo-Welsh Cup. He is this season’s WASP under 18 award winner. 

 

Tim Cardall


Second row Cardall joins from Nottingham where he gained Championship experience.

He has also won England Students honours and this season regularly guested for Wasps in the A League and Anglo-Welsh Cup. 


 

Kieran Curran

Curran has already appeared in Wasps’ back-row in the A League while part of Warwick School’s trophy-winning U18 squad. 

 

Will Simonds

A product of Henley AASE and Wasps under 18’s, Simonds who plays at centre or full back has also been capped by England U18s this season. 

 

Sam Spink

The Wellington College centre, who impressed in the Anglo-Welsh Cup this season as a member of Wasps under 18’s, toured South Africa with England U18’s last summer in addition to playing in the Spring Internationals. 

 

Taju Atta

The pacy Stowe School and Wasps under 18’s winger joins the club on a student contract having impressed as a guest in the A League and debuting Anglo-Welsh Cup.
