Stormers out-thought naïve Waratahs


The DHL Stormers may well have used the Western Force’s shock win over the Waratahs in the opening week of competition as their cue for the defence orientated win they scored over the Vodacom Super Rugby champions in Sydney on Saturday.


Although the Stormers won 32-18 and scored a four try bonus point, their first of the season, it was they who had to make by far the most tackles in the game.

They also kicked the ball more than twice as much as the Waratahs, and they ran fewer metres in this match than in any other game they had played prior to it.
