A tightly fought match between these two sides with Toulouse eventually coming out on top to win the clash 19-14. Piula Fa'asalele scored the first try of the match off the back of a powerful scrum on the half hour mark. Bales and Ramos traded penalties as Toulouse took a 16-6 lead into the break. Victor Vito scored La Rochelle's only try of the match in the 66th minute to bring his side within 5 points in the final 10 minutes of the game. Thomas Ramos and Retiere converted a penalty each as La Rochelle claimed a losing bonus point.
