Standing at 204cm and hitting the scales at “about 120kg’s", Callum MacDonald is set to make the step up to professional rugby with Super Rugby clubs in Australia and New Zealand as well as Japan wanting to snare his signature since he became a regular for Souths in Brisbane.


The second-rower made the switch from league to union this year and has been watching youtube footage of former Springbok lock Bakkies Botha saying that “He used to scare me a lot. He had a lot of aggression." in an interview with Fox Sports.

The teenager clocked 13 seconds flat in his final year of high school and is a star to keep an eye on.
