Jerónimo de la Fuente is an Argentine rugby union footballer who primarily plays as a centre. He was born on 24 February 1991. Throughout his career, he has represented both club and country.
De la Fuente started his club career in Argentina, playing for the Duendes Rugby Club in Rosario. In 2013, he was selected to join the Pampas XV squad for the Vodacom Cup in South Africa. He continued to impress and earned a place on their tour of Australia in 2014.
From 2016 to 2020, De la Fuente played for the Jaguares, an Argentine team in Super Rugby. During his time with the Jaguares, he made 51 appearances and scored six tries. He was also appointed as the team's captain and led them to the Super Rugby final in 2019.
On the international stage, De la Fuente has represented Argentina at various levels. He played for the Argentina Under-20 team in the 2011 IRB Junior World Championship. He also featured for the Argentina Jaguars and the Pumas 7s in 2012 and 2013.
De la Fuente made his senior international debut for the Argentina national rugby union team in 2014. He played his first match against Uruguay on 17 May 2014, followed by a try-scoring performance against Chile a week later.
He was selected for the Pumas' squad in the 2014 mid-year rugby union internationals, making two appearances against Ireland. He was also named in the 30-man squad for the 2014 Rugby Championship.
In his international career, De la Fuente has earned 54 test caps for Argentina. He has played in two Rugby World Cups and has scored a total of seven tries in test matches.
In July 2020, it was announced that De la Fuente had signed a three-year deal to play for USAP Perpignan, a team in the PROD2 league in France.
Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, de la Fuente has been named in the squad for Argentina.
