Autumn Nations Series Team of the Week

Autumn Nations Series Team of the Week

Another weekend of action is done and plenty of talking points with the Springboks suffering yet another straight red, England obliterating New Zealand, Japan nearly beating Wales and Santi Carreras coming off the bench to drive Argentina to a great win over Scotland. Here is our team of the week

  1. Paddy McCarthy - IRE
Another great outing for the young Irish prop

  2. Johan Grobbelaar - RSA
Big shift from the hooker as the Springboks hunt for a replacement/second choice hooker to support Marx

  3. Joe Heyes - ENG
Many spoke of England putting their second choice front row on to start against NZ and Heyes showed them the gap is not that big

  4. Charles Ollivon - FRA
Massive game from the RCT man sporting a spectacular moustache

  5. Warner Dearns - JPN
Dearns has been one of Japan's best players in November and this week was no different, his side fell narrowly short to Wales

  6. Santiago Grondona - ARG
Yet another stand out perforamance from the dynamic loose forward

  7. Manuel Zuliani - ITA
What a season he is having, on the wrong end of the result but was one of the best loose forwards in the game with the Springboks

  8. Ollie Cracknell - WAL
Not often a forward is the highest tackler and carrier for a side, he was immense

  9. Alex Mitchell - ENG
Guided England around the field well, posed a threat to New Zealand whether it was his kick, pass or run plays

  10. Santi Carreras - ARG
Player of the weekend with his substitute performance that turned the Scotland v Argentina game on its head in favour of his team

  11. Jiuta Wainiqolo - FIJ
What a game, he can score from anywhere and packs a punch on defence

  12. Fraser Dingwall - ENG
One of his best games and partnered well with Ford in his inside and Lawrence outside

  13. Ollie Lawrence - ENG
Lawrence is one of the form 13's in the world and he tore the All Blacks apart

  14. Selestino Ravutaumada - FIJ
Superb against France on attack, was a threat all over the park

  15. Mack Hansen  - IRE
Man of the Match while starting his first test at 15 and scoring a hat trick. Hansen is back and a new trend of black and white boots is about to hit the local clubs
