Ulster claimed the victory in an all-Irish derby against Munster. They started off well, putting Munster under pressure but failed to score anything more than 6 points in the first half, they came back in the second half to score 3 unanswered tries to win the game comfortably.

The loose trio were everywhere on the pitch, Ward put in a man of the match performance scoring a try making 10 tackles and beating 5 defenders. Timoney made 15 tackles which was the most in the Ulster side.

The half-back pairing was brilliant, the steered the ship for Ulster and made played a key part in their victory.
