George Barton extends his contract with Gloucester Rugby

Gloucester Rugby are pleased to annouce that homegrown favourite George Barton has signed a contract extension with the club.

After graduating from Gloucester Rugby Academy, Barton made his senior debut against London Irish in 2019. He has since made more than 70 appearances for Gloucester, amassing close to 400 points. 

Barton is comfortable in playing at both fly-half and full-back. He has displayed a number of standout performances in the Gallagher Prem, Prem Rugby Cup and in Europe.

Head coach George Skivington says " he is highly competitive and is able to cover multiple positions. He also has one of the best kicking performances in the Prem"

Barton added: "It's an houour and a priviledge to be able to play in front of the best fans in the league and remain at a place like Kingsholm."
