However, he later joined the Glasgow Warriors on loan for the 2017-18 season. He made his first appearance for the Warriors as a substitute in a 40-23 away win against the Dragons on August 25, 2017.

Turner impressed during his loan spell and eventually committed to Glasgow Warriors, signing a two-year contract that would keep him with the club until at least May 2020. He has made 46 appearances for Glasgow and scored nine tries.

In terms of his international career, Turner has represented Scotland at various age-grade levels, including U18 and U20. He was selected for the Scotland U20 team in the 2012 age-grade Six Nations and Junior World Championship in South Africa.

He further solidified his place in the national team when he was selected for Scotland's summer tour of the Americas in 2018. In a match against Canada, Turner achieved the rare feat of scoring a hat-trick as a hooker.

Turner's performances have earned him recognition and a new two-year deal with the Glasgow Warriors, demonstrating his value to the team.

Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, Turner has been named in the squad for Scotland.
