Jack Crowley, born on January 13, 2000, is an Irish professional rugby union player who currently plays as a fly-half for Munster in the United Rugby Championship and the Ireland national team. Hailing from Innishannon, County Cork, Crowley has made significant strides in his rugby career.

Crowley's rugby journey began with Bandon Rugby Club, where he followed in the footsteps of his family members who have a strong connection with the club. He played for the club's under-18s side, contributing to their success in winning the Munster Under-18 Cup and the All-Ireland Under-18 Cup. In the latter, Crowley scored 15 points in a notable victory against Skerries under-18s.

He attended Bandon Grammar School, where he played senior rugby for three years. Initially, he played as a scrum-half before transitioning to fly-half. During his time at the school, Crowley played a crucial role in guiding them to the semi-finals of the Munster Schools Senior Cup for the first time in 2017. He continued to excel, with a second semi-final appearance in 2019, although they were defeated on both occasions by Presentation Brothers College. In his third year, Crowley captained the team and showcased his skills by scoring 21 points in a quarter-final replay win against Glenstal Abbey School, the defending champions.

In 2019, Crowley joined Cork Constitution to play in the amateur All-Ireland League. His older brother Billy was already part of the club. Notably, Crowley's performances for Cork Constitution during the 2019-20 season earned him the All-Ireland League Division 1A Rising Star accolade in May 2020, recognizing his talent and potential.

Crowley's association with Munster began in the Celtic Cup of the 2019-20 season. He featured in all seven matches for Munster A, serving as the team's fly-half and even captaining the side in their opening draw against Ospreys Development. He showcased his versatility by playing as a replacement or in different positions throughout the competition.

Following his time in the sub-academy, Crowley joined Munster's academy ahead of the 2020-21 season. He made his senior competitive debut for Munster in January 2021 during a Pro14 match against Ulster, where he came on as a replacement and converted a late try. His performances and potential were recognized, and he joined the senior squad on a two-year contract starting from the 2021-22 season. Since then, Crowley has continued to make notable contributions to Munster's campaigns in the United Rugby Championship and the Champions Cup.

In December 2022, Crowley signed a two-year contract extension with Munster, committing to the club until at least June 2025. He has had several standout moments, including securing a crucial drop goal for Munster in a victory against Leinster in the semi-finals of the 2022-23 United Rugby Championship. Crowley was named Men's Young Player of the Year at the 2023 Rugby Players Ireland awards, a testament to his growing reputation and impact on the field. He also played a significant role in Munster's triumph in the final of the 2022-23 United Rugby Championship against the Stormers.

On the international stage, Crowley has represented Ireland at various levels. He was selected for the Ireland under-20s squad for the 2020 Six Nations Under 20s Championship, where he showcased his skills as a fly-half. He made his senior international debut for Ireland in a match against Fiji in November 2022, scoring two conversions. Following an injury to Johnny Sexton, Crowley made his first senior international start against Australia, contributing a penalty and conversion in Ireland's victory.

Crowley's impressive performances earned him a place in the Ireland squad for the Six Nations tournament in 2023, where he made his tournament debut as a replacement in a victory against Italy. Ireland went on to win the grand slam, further solidifying Crowley's position as a rising star in Irish rugby.

Jack Crowley continues to demonstrate his talent and potential as he represents Munster in the United Rugby Championship and contributes to the Ireland national team's success.

Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, Crowley has been named in the squad for Ireland.
