Khwezi Jongamazizi Mona, born on 8 October 1992 in East London, South Africa, is a prop forward in rugby. Standing at 1.81 meters (5 feet 11 and a half inches) tall and weighing 112 kilograms (247 pounds), he brings physicality to the game.

Mona attended Selborne College in East London, where he showcased his talent and caught the attention of scouts. He joined the Sharks Academy after delivering impressive performances for Border at the 2010 Craven Week, a prestigious schoolboy rugby tournament.

Initially starting as a loose forward, Mona transitioned to the front row. However, with players like Allan Dell and Maks van Dyk, both South African Under-20 representatives, ahead of him, his opportunities were limited.

In 2014, Mona's breakthrough came when he was included in the Sharks XV squad for the Vodacom Cup competition. He made his first-class debut, starting in a match against Western Province and contributing to a 25-7 victory in Durban.

Although he didn't make the Sharks squad for the 2014 Currie Cup, Mona made a move to the Pumas in 2015. He played a significant role in the team's success, helping them win the Vodacom Cup for the first time that year. Mona became an essential member of the Pumas scrum, using his skills to strengthen the team's set-piece.

Mona later joined the Lions Super Rugby squad, but he didn't have the opportunity to feature for the side. In 2019, he made a move to the Griquas. Currently, Mona plays for the Sharks, contributing his power and expertise to the team's forward pack.
