Ashton Hewitt re-signs for Dragons

Dragons have confirmed that Ashton Hewitt has today committed his future to the club by signing a new contract at the region.

Hewitt has joined Adam Warren, Lewis Evans and Matthew Screech in putting pen to paper on a deal to stay at Rodney Parade until at least 2021.

The 24-year-old speedster from Newport will make his long-awaited playing return next season after a shoulder injury ruled him out of the 2018/19 campaign.

Hewitt, who has scored 21 tries in 72 appearances for Dragons, has twice been called up by Wales, only for concussion to deny him in the 2017 Six Nations and then a shoulder injury forcing him to withdraw from the summer tour in 2018.
