Jacques du Plessis returning to South Africa - report

Former Springbok u20 loose forward Jacques du Plessis looks set to return to his former club, the Bulls.

The 27-year-old forward left the Bulls in 2015 to join Montpellier but looks set for a Loftus return according to a report by Netwerk 24.

Montpellier are said to be releasing du Plessis from the remainder of his contract in August as the TOP14 club trim their wage bill.

Du Plessis' signature has attracted plenty of attention in the past with Wasps linked with the forward who can play in the second and back row. He is reported to have turned down the Sharks in favour of rejoining the Bulls.

Jake White has already beefed up his back row with the signing of Marcell Coetzee with Marco van Staaden leaving the Pretoria outfit.

He is set to join Johan Goosen in making the move to Pretoria, a move tipped to be confirmed by multiple reports in South Africa while Netwerk 24 also report that the Bulls could add Oupa Mahojo and James Verity-Amm to their stocks.
