Lions vs All Blacks | Eight standout players from the match

New Zealand are still on track to go unbeaten on the Greatest Rivalry Tour after beating the Lions 35-41. It was no smooth sailing as the some side were leading 35-17 in the 48th minute but the experience and attacking mindset of the All Blacks were too much for the URC team.

Lets take a look at the best players from the clash.

Lions

Nico Steyn (Scrumhalf). Steyn made 3 turnovers (most) and were all over the park. Great service behind his pack.

Sibabalwe Mahashe (flanker). 22 Year old Mahashe scored a try and and got through a mountain of tackles. One for the future.

Erich Cronje (wing). Cronje was solid for the Lions. Great decision making on attack and kept the ball alive.

All Blacks

Ethan Blackadder (flanker). Blackadder scored a try and got through 71 meters on attack from 15 carries. No complaints from the 31 year old.

Noah Hotham (scrumhalf). Hotham also got on the score sheet and kept his team going forward with great passing and box kicks.

Rieko Ioane (centre). Man oh man was Ioane good. Scoring two tries and making 141 meters on attack.

Peter Lakai (substitute flanker). Big impact from Lakai off the bench. 

Anton Lienert-Brown (substitute centre). Lienert-Brown came onto the field just as the All Blacks were crawling their way back. He got them over the advantage line.

Next up the All Blacks play the Springboks in Cape Town this Saturday.
