Racing 92 will face the first-ever South African Super Rugby side to play in Hong Kong, Sharks, in the 2018 Natixis Rugby Cup.

Savea to Rugby League?


Reports from New Zealand suggest that All Black and Hurricanes winger Julian Savea hasn't ruled out a shock switch to rugby league.

The blockbusting wing is contracted to New Zealand Rugby (NZR) until the end of 2019 but failed to nail down a position in the All Blacks squad in 2017.


The 27-year-old's record of 46 tries in 54 test appearances means he's bound to attract interest across the rugby codes when his contract comes up. "It's always been in the back of my mind," Savea told Newshub of a shift to rugby league.

Gatland eyeing Super Rugby job

Wales coach Warren Gatland says he is eyeing a Super Rugby job, and not the All Blacks job when he finishes his contract with Wales after the 2019 World Cup.

The man who led the British and Irish Lions to a series draw in New Zealand this year has pointed out, in an interview with NZME, that he has never actually stated that he wants to be an All Blacks coach.

While having not led a team in Super Rugby before, the 54-year-old was involved with the Chiefs as a technical director in 2006-07. Full story
