Imhoff can be used at either fullback or wing and is an important member in the Argentinian squad. Imhoff is a good finisher and has proved this in club level with Racing 92 and at International level with Argentina. He made his debut in 2009 and has been a regular in the squad since, he was also selected for the 2014 Rugby Championship squad.
July 2016 saw Imhoff being selected as part of the Argentina 7s squad for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
In June 2017, Imhoff signed a new contract with Racing 92 until 2022.
He heads into the 2020 Top 14 season with 191 appearances for Racing 92 and has scored 437 points for the French club.
