Red card Defo for Hughes
Driving maul easily going over brought down. How is that NOT a pen try?
Half time at the Franklin Garden with the game surrounded by controversy with one incident in particular. It was all going so well for Wasps who led 20-8 with 7 minutes remaining in the half. From the restart North was able to go over in the corner but after he had touched down Nathan Hughes knee struck the head of North with the referee giving Hughes a red card. Looking back at many replays there is nothing to show that Hughes showed any intent with the incident nothing more than an accident. In the final few minutes of the half the Saints took advantage scoring two tries and now they lead 27-20 and will look to finish off 14 men Wasps in the second half. Wasps will be extremely annoyed with the red card decision but they will need to forget about it now and force their way back into the game. The Second half is coming up so stay with us for updates and analysis.
And a "dump" tackle is perfectly legal
Nathan Hughes had it coming
It was never a red
Awful decision. Ref has been pressured by Hartley from the whistle. TMO gave him the opportunity to re-think but still didn't. This could be a huge call come the end of the season. Get this school boy out of top flight rugby.
Henry Southgate, you are a joke
I think the red was well deserved
deserved to be sent off. Hope George is OK
