Bulls lose Bok for Champions Cup opener

Head coach Johan Ackermann will be without a crucial member of the Bulls squad for Stade Français’ visit to Loftus on Saturday in week one of the Investic Champions Cup.

Winger Canan Moodie is ruled out due to HIA protocols after the Springbok collided with Lions loose forward Siba Mahashe during last week’s URC Jukskei derby in Pretoria.

Fellow speedster Cheswill Jooste has been also struggling with illness.

Ackermann will likely look to Stravino Jacobs, Sebastian de Klerk and Dylan Maart to fill the gap out wide, with the team set to be announced on Thursday.

Meanwhile, scrumhalf Embrose Papier is also back in training following a long-term ankle injury, but hooker Akker van der Merwe (calf) remains absent.
