Five Tier 2 players to watch at the Rugby World Cup - Pool C
We continue to look at some of the Tier Two players to keep an eye on during the Rugby World Cup in Japan.

If case you missed the two previous articles see our picks from Pool A and Pool B here.

We now move onto Tonga and USA who will be competing in Pool C with England, Argentina and France.

Joe Taufete'e - USA

The epitome of try-scoring hookers, Joe Taufete'e currently holds the record for the most test tries as test front-rower.

Taufete'e has an incredible try-scoring record having scored 20 test tries in just 23 test matches for the Eagles.

To compare, the All Blacks' winger Rieko Ioane has scored 23 tries in 26 test matches for New Zealand.

The Worcester Warriors hooker is far from just a try-scorer, he is also an astute operator at the lineout and tough scrummager. He is an extremely strong ball carrier and very handy on defence.

Nasi Manu - Tonga

Nasi Manu will lead Tonga at the Rugby World Cup and the experienced back rower's journey to Japan is one to commend.

Manu was diagnosed with testicular cancer and has since made a remarkable recovery to represent his country at the World Cup.

Manu will not back down for a second throughout the World Cup and is one of Tonga's strongest ball carriers and tacklers in Tonga's squad, which really saying something.

Hanco Germishuys - USA

A live wire flanker who has scored some outstanding tries for the Eagles as well as in the MLR for Austin Elite and the Glendale Raptors.

Germishuys is one of USA's most consistent performers and is just as much of a threat over the ball as he is with the ball in hand.

The South African born flanker has scored 9 tries in just 17 tests for the Eagles.

Sam Louisi - Tonga

A strong and tall lock who is set to join Scarlets after the Rugby World Cup.

The 28-year-old only recently made his test debut. A hard-hitting, strong carrying second-rower Louisi is a dynamic player who will be another key player for Tonga.

Telusa Veainu - Tonga

Possibly one of the most exciting tier two players heading to the Rugby World Cup, Veainu is one of those players that could sidestep you in a phonebox.

Leicester Tigers' fans will know the outside back simply as 'TV' but in reality the 28-year-old is more box office.

Don't be surprised to see Veainu run a brilliant line and sidestep the last defender to score a blinder.
