Lions Stocks | How the Wallaby game affects things

Some interesting decisions will need to be made by Andy Farrell and the coaching staff ahead of the second test. It is likely that an impact off the bench may be the easy way to solve things but either way, changes will need to happen unless they decide that it is something that will get better with time. Here are the players from today and how their stocks moved

Stocks Rising:

Tadhg Beirne -
While it is clear he is well supported by Farrell he put in a performance that will see his stocks rise more among the Lions fans
Tom Curry - Incredible shift from the most polarising selection ahead of the opening test
Finn Russell - One of the best attacking 10's around and that is not at the expence of his kicking game or defence
Jamison Gibson-Park - Perfect box kicks and a pass that can open any defence, especially narrow ones

Stocks Falling:

Tadhg Furlong - Perhaps needs another game but is not himself
Huw Jones - Some poor decisions on attack that butchered two tries.
Tommy Freeman - Is an assett on attack in midfield when used but struggled to get in the game today
Hugo Keenan - Every so slightly saw his stocks fall, close to remaining unmoved
Bench - More of an impact is needed from the bench to maintain intensity

Stocks Unmoved:

Ellis Genge - Nearly moved up but is far away from dropping
Dan Sheehan - More of the same from Sheehan
Maro Itoje - Solid leadership and performance, dovetailed well with McCarthy
Joe McCarthy - Short game but impactful
Jack Conan - Every Lions year he performs at 8, no different in 2025
James Lowe - Chased the high ball well but will want to sharpen up
Sione Tuipulotu - Good but not great on the day
