After debuting for the Black Ferns against
England in 2021, Alana Bremner has since
become an integral part of the Black Ferns
forward pack.
In 2019, Bremner played three matches
for the New Zealand Development side
and had a breakthrough season in 2020,
captaining Canterbury to their fourth
consecutive Farah Palmer Cup title and
bagging eight tries to be their top tryscorer for the season. She finished the
year captaining the NZ Barbarians in the
two-match series against the Black Ferns.
She was the first women’s player to notch
up 50 matches for Lincoln University, and
brought up 50 caps for Canterbury in 2021.
Bremner was a member of the Black Ferns
Rugby World Cup 2021 winning squad.
While away from the rugby field, Bremner
is known by team mates to be behind a
camera. Bremner is also the younger sister
to Black Fern Chelsea Bremner.
