Emeka Ilione out for 2-3 months

Emeka Ilione is likely to be out of action until the New Year recovering from a shoulder injury.

The Leicester Tigers back row forward was assessed and scanned following last weekend's Gallagher PREM match against Sale Sharks.

Head Coach Geoff Parling said: “Unfortunately Emeka has sustained a shoulder injury that will keep him out for two to three months. 

"I’m obviously bitterly disappointed for him as he has started the season strongly, was adding a great voice and intensity during training, and had just been called in to train with England.”

Ilione, 23, had appeared in all five PREM matches for Tigers this season, scoring a second-half try in the 36-35 win against Sharks.
