Munster Rugby are pleased to announce a two-year contract extension for scrum-half Ethan Coughlan that keeps him at the province until at least 2028.
The 24-year-old Ennis RFC and Shannon man has scored three tries in 31 Munster appearances since making his debut in the famous Champions Cup win over Wasps in December 2021.

He captained the Ireland U18 Clubs in Italy in 2019 before signing up with All Ireland League side Shannon RFC.
Coughlan featured for the Ireland U20s in 2022 and made his first URC start against Sharks at Thomond Park in October 2023, enjoying an excellent 2023/24 campaign with six senior appearances.
In total, he made 10 senior appearances over his three years in the Academy before moving up to the senior squad in 2024. He made 10 appearances in his first year as a member of the senior squad and has made 11 appearances so far this season, scoring intercept tries against Leinster and Glasgow Warriors.
