Born and raised in Leeds, Redshaw began his journey at local club West Park alongside fellow
pathway player Tye Raymont. The former Sedbergh schoolboy joined the Newcastle Falcons Senior
Academy in summer 2023 was named the club's Academy Player of the Year later that season.
Redshaw was also invited to train with the England senior men's squad ahead of the 2023 Rugby
World Cup alongside Bath Rugby's George Timmins.
The 20-year-old cites Alex Goode, Owen Farrell and Rieko Ioane as heroes and captained England
U18 Men to 56-14 win vs. Ireland in 2023 U18 Six Nations Festival. He too played for U19s in 2023
before reaching U20 glory in France with a 90+ metre try to contribute to lifting the 2024 Under-20
Six Nations.
Contributing to England's title lift in South Africa last summer, Redshaw continued to impress on
Tyneside with 11 senior appearances for Falcons across domestic and European competitions. He is
set to join Gloucester Rugby ahead of the 2025/26 season and cites former Kingsholm resident and
current U20 Men's head coach Mark Mapletoft as his most influential.
