Thomas is a sharp halfback prospect who made his way into the Reds squad for the 2017 National U15 Junior Gold Cup in 2017.

Named in the Australian Schools and U18 squad, he helped the side continue their unbeaten tour of New Zealand in September 2019.

An ultra-dynamic player, Thomas also took the field for Ipswich Grammar in 2019's GPS competition, scoring seven tries in just eight games.

Labeled as a talent of the future, he was named in the Reds' Super Rugby squad as one of four new faces for the 2020 season.

Thomas made a real impact in his 2021 Super Rugby season for the Red where he made 7 appearances and scored 1 try.

He made his debut for the Reds in Round 6 of the 2021 Super Rugby AU season against the Waratahs, coming on as a replacement.

In the 2022 Super Rugby season, he played 9 matches making 15 tackles and 17 carries.
