Sale Sharks sign most capped Welsh international scrum half

The Sale team have announced the signing of Welsh international Mike Phillips from Racing 92. Phillips is likely to be selected for the side to compete in the European Champions Cup final and he'll certainly be keen to finish his time at the club with a trophy.

Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said: " Mike will fit perfectly into our plans here at Sale Sharks. He is a big, powerful and very skilful player and has plenty of experience playing at the top level of the game.

"Mike will be one of three ex Racing 92 players at the club next season alongside Brian Mujati and Juandre Kruger."

Tonga captain Nili Latu extends his stay at Newcastle Falcons

While Latu was already signed for the 2016/2017, the Falcons have confirmed that he has decided to extend his stay with the team even further although the length of his new contract is yet to be released.
It was an absolute no-brainer. I have loved my first season with the Falcons, the fans have been awesome, I love the city and we have a great squad here.

“I am enjoying my time here and would like to stay longer. The team and the club has been great, I was keen to commit and it is great to have it all sorted.
