Max Williamson, a promising Scottish rugby union player, signed his first professional contract with the Glasgow Warriors in preparation for the 2022/23 season. He was one of four graduates from the FOSROC Scottish Rugby Academy to secure professional terms with the club.

Williamson, known for his powerful presence as a second-rower, made a strong impression during his first season in the academy at Scotstoun. He had the opportunity to learn from experienced players like Rob Harley and Richie Gray, which undoubtedly contributed to his development as a player.

His potential and talent did not go unnoticed by the national team selectors. Williamson was invited to train with the senior Scotland squad during the 2021 Guinness Six Nations. He was designated as one of Gregor Townsend's "apprentice players" during the tournament, indicating his standing as a player with significant promise.

In addition to his rugby pursuits, Williamson is also a student at the University of Strathclyde. This demonstrates his commitment to balancing his academic and athletic aspirations, further showcasing his dedication and determination.
