Reece-Edwards was a prominent fullback during his playing days, earning 165 caps for Natal between 1982 and 1995 and 3 for the Springboks between 1992 and 1993.
His coaching career began in 1996 when he served as assistant coach to Ian McIntosh at the Sharks, taking over as head coach in 2000.
He currently takes charge of the Shining Arcs in the Japanese Top League.
