Okonkwo (front-rower) joined the Cheetahs ahead of their crucial SA Cup clash against the Border Bulldogs. He previously played for the Lions and featured in the Varsity Cup for Wits (one season) and the UCT Ikey Tigers (two seasons). He started at tighthead prop in the 2024 Varsity Cup final against the UFS Shimlas in Bloemfontein.
