At the end of a dramatic day of action, three teams - hosts England, Canada and Scotland - have qualified for the quarter-finals of Women's Rugby World Cup 2025.
Pool A
The pulsating draw in York between Australia and USA has kept alive both nations' hopes of following England through to the quarter-finals.
Next weekend Australia play England in Brighton and USA face Samoa in York. While England are guaranteed a place in the top two, those two remaining matches will decide who tops the pool and who joins England, with points difference potentially a decisive factor.
Pool B
Canada and Scotland have qualified for the quarter-finals by both beating Wales and Fiji. They will face each other in Exeter with the winners topping the pool.
Pools C and D
he second round of matches in Pools C and D will be played on Sunday, 31 August. In the day's early kick-offs in Pool C, Ireland play Spain in Northampton before defending champions New Zealand face Japan in Exeter.
In Pool D, Italy take on South Africa in York and France face Brazil in Exeter.
