Top Performers: Georgia vs Uruguay

After looking a bit flat against Wales a few days back, Georgia really went back to basics and turned in a professional performance against Uruguay on Sunday. The Lelos scored five tries against their South American opponents, who at least managed to cross the white line.

Georgian Head coach Milton Haig said he was happy with his teams performance today and believes his side could cause an upset still in this group.

Here are our top performers of the crunching match:

Otari Giorgadze (Georgia)

The big No. 8 was named man of the match today and deservedly so! Giorgadze made a mammoth 19 Carries in the game and also gained 81 metres in conditions that weren't really rugby friendly.

Here is his Try:

Rodrigo Silva (Uruguay)

The winger was sadly on the losing side this time around, but he can be really proud of his performance today. Silva gained a total of 42 metres and beat 5 defenders on attack. On defence, he unfortunately slipped a few tackles, but he did turnover seven balls in 80 minutes.

Tedo Abzhandadze (Georgia)

The No.10 played the entire match and scored eight of his sides 33 points on Sunday. Abzhandadze kicked 80% of his kicks at goal and made 100% of his tackles.

Juan Manuel Gaminara (Uruguay)

The Uruguayan captain lasted 59 minutes on the park and seeing that he played four days ago, it's a good amount of minutes. He was inspirational as ever and made 11 tackles in the match. Gaminara also made four carries and produced a turnover.
