Xavier Sadourny is a former French rugby union player, who played as fly‑half for clubs including Clermont, Castres, Brive, and Lyon.
After retiring as a player in 2012, he transitioned into coaching
His first coaching role after playing was with Lyon OU, handling backs (“arrière”) in the 2012‑2013 season.

From about 2013 to early 2023, he was with Clermont. His roles included coaching in the youth/academy (centre de formation), then moving into senior roles focused on offense and kicking (jeu au pied) and backs/attack.

2024‑2025 Season: He joined Castres as backs coach (“entraîneur des arrières”) replacing David Darricarrère.

It was publicly announced in November 2024 that Sadourny will take over as head coach of Castres, succeeding Jeremy Davidson, on a three‑year contract.
However, his taking the reins was brought forward: as of early January 2025, he has begun acting as head coach (manager) immediately, with Davidson stepping back into an advisory role.
