William Evans

28th Jan 1997 1.83m/91kg Openside Flanker

Evans made his senior debut for Leicester Tigers and then going to the World Under-20s Championships with England.

From Norwich and a former student at Wymondham College, Evans came through the Tigers academy to earn representative recognition at four age-groups.

He impressed enough in senior company at Oval Park to earn an Premiership debut as a late call-up to replace Lachlan McCaffrey against Gloucester at Welford Road in April 2016 and made three other appearances before the end of the season, including from the bench in the semi-final at Saracens.

The flanker enjoyed a stellar rise through the ranks at Leicester in the closing stages of the 2015/16 season, making his senior debut for Leicester Tigers and then going to the World Under-20s Championships with England who reached the final and was then deservedly named in the competition dream team.

In January 2017, he penned a new deal to remain at Leicester beyond the 2016/17 season. As of the 2018/2019 Champions Cup, Evans has had 6 Champions Cup appearances.

In March 2019, he signed a deal to join Harlequins ahead of the 2019/20 season.
