Whiffin was appointed head coach of Wales U20 in December
2024, succeeding interim head coach Mark Jones.
He had previously held coaching roles with the Scarlets,
Gloucester, London Irish, England U20s, Wales Women, and
the Highlanders in New Zealand.
Prior to landing the head coach role, he was interim head
coach to the then reigning champions of the WRU National
Schools & Colleges League side, Cardiff & Vale College
