Billy Searle earned man-of-the-match against Saracens today in round 9 of Prem Rugby and rightly so. He produced a couple of moments of magic, manipulating the spaces, creating tries, making his outside backs shine and he had on his kicking boots with a 100% kick success rate.

Here are some of the moments.

4’ Tigers are on the attack, just outside the 5m line, they have the advantage. Saracens are all flat on the defence; Searle sees the gap and grubbers through and Freddie Steward dives on the ball to score.

6’ Tigers are just in Sarries half, Searle spots a gap, throws the dummy, steps back inside and kicks it in behind on his left foot and it lands beautifully in Sarries 22. From the lineout Sarries overthrow it and are suddenly under pressure, they get pushed back over their own line and it results in a 5m scrum for Tigers.

26’ Tigers have a scrum just outside their 22, Searle is second receiver and runs it, a little show and go and he gets a gap, he spots the gap and kicks it in behind and Radwaan wins the foot race and dives in for the try.
