Abrahams' rugby career began in the SA Rugby Youth Week tournaments, where he showcased his talent and potential. His abilities were recognized by SA Rugby, and he was selected to be a part of their Elite Player Development program. This program aims to nurture and develop young rugby talents in South Africa.

His consistent performances and hard work paid off when he received a call-up to the Springbok U20s squad. Abrahams represented the Junior Springboks in the 2019 World Rugby U20 Championship, where the team achieved a bronze medal. In the match against hosts Argentina, Abrahams played a significant role by scoring two tries in the team's 41-16 victory.
