With his first and last name being a composition of Israel Folau and the Fainga'a brothers you could be excused to taking a second glance at this young forward.
Born in Paddington, New South Wales, Fainga’a was a member of the Australian under-20 team in 2015 and played for both the Sydney Stars and the NSW Country Eagles in the National Rugby Championships as well as starring for Sydney University in the Shute Shield.
In August 2017 Fainga'a signed a one-year Extended Playing Squad deal with the Brumbies.
He brings a strong work ethic and a desire to improve in his role at hooker and is a great asset to the side at the set piece.
In October, Fainga'a was named in the Wallabies squad to face the Barbarians.
He joined the Brumbies 2018 Super Rugby squad and came in with a lively cameo from the bench during the Round 3 match with the Rebels in Melbourne, making his first start in the 24-17 home win over the Sharks at GIO Stadium.
In April 2018, He committed to the Brumbies for a further two years after putting pen to paper on a new contract.
Faingaa was named in the Wallabies Rugby Championship squad and made his test debut off the bench against the All Blacks during the second Bledisloe Cup test and earned a World Cup call up ahead of the 2019 tournamnet with 11 caps to his name
