All predictions that this would be the most challenging, most competitive
Aviva Premiership for many a year were blown apart by Saracens's 39-0 away
victory over Harlequins.

Quins were champions themselves only a couple of
years ago yet they were nowhere to be seen at the Stoop, shadowy opposition
at best.




Only the spiky Mike Brown offered what might be termed resistance.

Without
him, Sarries might have posted a half century.

So much then for the notion
of an equitable Premiership.




Already there appears to be an elite force gathering at the top.
