Calvet is a former coach of Valence-d'Agen in Fédérale 1, having also been a technical advisor in Midi-Pyrénées.
In 2018, he was named the sports director of Academia in Agen.
Currently head coach of Pro D2 side Montauban, Calvet is also manager of the France team under 18.
