The Bordeaux lineup for the final against Leinster
- 366
Bordeaux will face Leinster this Saturday, May 22nd at 3:45 PM at the San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao in the Investec Champions Cup final. Here is the team's lineup:
With eight changes to the starting XV compared to the match against USA Perpignan, there is only one change from the side that faced Bath Rugby in the semi-final three weeks ago. Bordeaux will once again use a 6–2 split on the bench, as they have done in all their major matches this season.
In the forwards, Jefferson Poirot (who was suspended against Bath), Maxime Lamothe, and Carlü Sadie will start in the front row. Boris Palu and Adam Coleman will form the second row, while Pierre Bochaton, Cameron Woki, and Marko Gazzotti make up the loose trio.
Behind them, the backline remains familiar, with Maxime Lucu captaining the side from scrum-half alongside Matthieu Jalibert at fly-half. The midfield partnership of Yoram Moefana and Damian Penaud is reunited, while the back three will again feature LBB, Uberti, and Rayasi, as they did against Bath.
The bench follows the 6–2 format, with six forwards — Barlot, Boniface, Tameifuna, Swinton, Matiu, and Vergnes-Taillefer — alongside two backs: Arthur Retière and Hugo Reus.
