Juan González, head coach
On the match:

"We are happy with the team we put on the field. They performed really well. We are a 32-player team, the commitment is really high. They show people that they can play really good rugby."
On importance of getting a win in their final pool match against Japan:
"It is really important. We came here to show the world how we play rugby and to make an big impact with Spanish girls at home. If we can do this with a victory against Japan that will be absolutely great."
Lourdes Alameda, captain
On the match:

On whether Spain are disappointed with their performance:
"I am proud of the team because we made an impact in defence, and in attack we were better with ball in hand. But it wasn't not enough, we made lots of mistakes."
On what they need to do against Japan:
"We need to be play more with the ball in attack and be more disciplined in defence."
